From Good to Great: The Subtle Differences Between Hosting Styles
No, we are not talking about the bestselling management book – Good to Great- although it is a great read. We are talking about what separates the good hosts from the great hosts, who in many cases earn the coveted title of “Hostess with the Mostess.”
At some point in our lives, we have hosted an event or a guest, which means we’ve had the opportunity to play the role of host or hostess. As a host, you have assumed the lead role of ensuring that your guests have the best possible experience. Good hosts have similar attributes of good leaders. Therefore, the traits that distinguish good leaders from great leaders may also be applicable to differentiating between good hosts and great hosts.
